AS50 Description

The AS50 is a strong grinding machine that can cut and grind different types of material (Iron, Steel, Aluminum, Bronze and others). The machine is completely closed by a cabin which ensures protection, reduce the noise and allows to collect the dust produced during the grinding cycle.

The castings loading and unloading is performed by means of a two-position pallet, with outside manual loading area controlled by safety barriers. The pallet changer system automatically loads the raw part and download the ground part in just few seconds.

When the part is inside the machine a pneumatic tailstock clamps it on the fixture assuring stable grinding operation.When loaded the part is firstly moved in front of the laser measurement system to verify its location and automatically adjust its coordinates, granting a consistent finishing quality.

The grinding operation is performed by an electro spindle carrying the grinding tools mounted on a CNC controlled rotary axis for optimal positioning of the tool.

Totally the machine has 5 CNC controlled axes granting maximum flexibility and best automatic finishing of the grinding process.

The machine can be programmed online in “TEACH IN” mode via a remote panel replicating all the functions necessary to move the tools within the working area. As an option, the machine can be programmed offline using any CAD / CAM program. The machine has embedded the Teleservice system for remote components diagnosis and troubleshooting.
